MCDONALD'S OF CENTRAL INDIANA
Indy Eleven are happy to announce their partnership with another prominent business into the North American Soccer League expansion team’s growing family with the introduction of McDonald’s as the team’s newest Corporate Partner.
McDonald’s and Indy Eleven announced their partnership in conjunction with the launch of the McDonald’s Player Escort sweepstakes, which will give 25 children across the country ages 6 to 10 – including a youth from Central Indiana – the chance to travel to Brazil and walk hand-in-hand with some of the world’s best soccer players as they take the field for a 2014 FIFA World Cup™ match. Parents or guardians in Central Indiana can visit www.McdOneGoal.com through April 6 to enter the sweepstakes.
“Working with a globally-recognized brand in McDonald’s is a great fit for Indy Eleven as the club continues to raise the profile of the world’s game here in Indiana,” said Indy Eleven President/General Manager Peter Wilt. “We look forward to partnering with McDonald’s in many ways to help soccer positively impact young Hoosiers and spread the reach of Indy Eleven across Central Indiana and beyond – including in Brazil during this summer’s FIFA World Cup.”
McDonald’s is giving young soccer enthusiasts in Central Indiana the opportunity to meet their soccer heroes competing for the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ title in Brazil this summer and also secure a $1,000 grant for a Central Indiana soccer organization. The winner, along with their parent or guardian, will represent Central Indiana and embark on a four-night, five-day trip to Brazil, with the first stop in Rio de Janeiro. The 25 McDonald’s Player Escorts will lead players onto the field in one of four match cities – Rio de Janeiro, Natal, Manaus or Recife.
“McDonald’s® of Central Indiana is excited to announce its partnership with Indy Eleven. Partnerships like these help us showcase our ongoing commitment to offer wholesome options and promote the importance of living an active lifestyle,” said McDonald’s of Central Indiana Owner/Operator Jim Props. “In addition, we have partnered with Indy Eleven to send two soccer fans to the World Cup in Brazil for a once in a lifetime experience with McDonald’s.”
As part of the new multiyear partnership, McDonald’s will assist Indy Eleven with the NASL club’s burgeoning community and youth-driven initiatives, including this Saturday’s Goals for Indy campaign that will allow communities to gather through the sport via 100 pick-up games being held across the State of Indiana; visit GoalsForIndy.com for the location nearest you. In addition, McDonald’s will serve as the title sponsor of Indy Eleven’s Game Day Ball Manager program, which will include an online contest to select two on-field ball kids to be up close to the action every Indy Eleven game in 2014.
GOALRILLA SPORTS AND TRAINING
Indy Eleven proudly welcomed Evansville-based Goalrilla Sports and Training as the official Goals for Indy Community Partner.
Today’s partnership announcement comes just four days before Indy Eleven and Goalrilla will partner up to present the Goals for Indy project, which will involve 100 pick-up soccer games being played simultaneously across Indiana this Saturday, March 15 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. All Hoosiers are invited to take part in this grass roots community effort to “get out and play” and can find a game in their neighborhood by visiting the newly-launched www.GoalsForIndy.com.
“Goals for Indy is Indy Eleven’s biggest community outreach program yet, and it simply could not have happened without the vision and support of Goalrilla Sports and Training,” said Indy Eleven President Peter Wilt. “Their donation of goals both for the Goals for Indy play day and to organizations that will utilize them afterwards makes this a project that many Hoosiers will benefit from long after Saturday’s great event.”
The aim of Goalrilla Sports and Training, America’s leading brand of basketball systems and sports training equipment, is to help the athlete train, to learn, and to enjoy the game the way it is supposed to be played. With every weld, bolt, and piece of steel it puts in its training products, Goalrilla has built a reputation for durable sports training equipment since 1991.
“Goalrilla is excited to serve as the official goal partner of Indy Eleven surrounding the launch of its Goals for Indy initiative,” said David Vogrin, director of marketing, Goalrilla Sports & Training. “We believe that the Goalrilla GAMEMAKER is the perfect fit as it provides authentic playability that can easily be transported. We look forward to working with Indy Eleven as they help bring soccer to the next level across the state of Indiana.”
Goalrilla’s recently launched GAMEMAKER™, an innovative line of air-pressurized, authentic, durable and transportable soccer goals, gives users the ability to pump up a sturdy goal within just 90 seconds – allowing the user to take their game or practice anywhere. Goalrilla has donated more than 100 sets of these GAMEMAKER inflatable goals to Indy Eleven as part of the Goals for Indy campaign, which will be donated to various community, non-profit and church groups following Saturday’s event by each game site’s local organizer.
