Last-minute, game-winning effort earns Pasher another spot on the week’s best XI

Indy Eleven midfielder Tyler Pasher has been voted to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 15 of the 2019 season. Pasher continued to produce in key moments for the Boys in Blue last Saturday night, when he secured Indy’s 2-1 win at Loudoun United FC with a goal in the 89th minute. In addition to recording his team-leading fifth goal on the season, the 25-year-old capped off his Week 15 play by completing seven dribbles and 23 of his 28 passes, including three key passes.

Pasher’s latest Team of the Week appearance marks the eighth time this season a member of Indiana’s Team has made the weekly cut, and the second nod for the dynamic left-sided winger to go with his Week 13 honor. Kenney Walker (Week 2), Ayoze Garcia (Week 4 & 11), Dane Kelly (Week 7 – Player of the Week), Evan Newton (Week 9 – Player of the Week) and Neveal Hackshaw (Week 12) have also earned spots in Team of the Week lineups so far this season. Pasher has also earned honorable mentions on the TotW “bench” for his performances in Weeks 7 and 11.

Pasher’s speed and accuracy have been flagship pieces of Eleven head coach Martin Rennie’s system in 2019, during which he has completed just over 81 percent of his 283 passes and played in the third most key passes (17) to teammates. The Canadian’s tenacity on the ball has allowed him to weave into scoring positions and finish with an unusual accuracy, as 11 of his 13 shots have been on target – and five of those 11 shots on goal ending up in the back of the net, placing him tied for 7th place on the Eastern Conference’s Golden Boot chart.

After wins on the road the last two weekends, Indy Eleven will look to continue its hot hand at home this Saturday, June 22, when it hosts Atlanta United FC 2 for the first of three games at Lucas Oil Stadium within a week’s time. Kickoff for Grateful Dead Night on Saturday is set for 7:00 p.m., and details on special Grateful Dead themed scarves, posters and shirts and ticket packages are available at indyeleven.com/tickets or by calling 317-685-1100. Tickets beginning at just $15 are also available for the rest of Indy Eleven’s weeklong homestand including games on Wednesday, June 26 (Pride Night versus Birmingham Legion FC) and Saturday, June 29 (versus Louisville City FC).
