Q: Why were Indy Eleven’s games postponed and when might they continue?

A: On March 12, the United Soccer League announced the decision to suspend its 2020 USL Championship regular season for a minimum of 30 days due to public safety concerns surrounding the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

On March 18, the USL extended the suspension of games to mid-May as a response to the Center for Disease Control’s suggested eight-week moratorium on large gatherings.

On April 30, the season suspension was extended indefinitely, with the caveat that USL will await further guidance and clarity from local, state and national health authorities before announcing a new earliest return to play date.

On June 4, the USL Championship Board of Governors voted in favor of returning to play for the 2020 season, with a provisional start date set for July 11. While additional information on competition format, scheduling, broadcast and other important details will be made available in the weeks to follow this announcement, it’s important to note that the league’s return to play will be conducted in strict alignment with all local and state public health guidelines. USL HQ also remains in regular dialogue with the USL Players Association on all matters concerning player health and wellness protocols and looks forward to continuing those discussions.

Q: What happens to my tickets for any postponed games?

A: Until we have certainty and direction from USL, your tickets to the postponed match(es) will remain valid for the rescheduled makeup date once determined. If you have transferred or resold your tickets for the postponed match(es), those tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled makeup date as well. More details are to follow in the weeks following the June 4 announcement.

Q: What if I cannot attend games on the rescheduled dates?

A: In the event you cannot attend rescheduled games, Indy Eleven is providing multiple options that will allow ticket holders and additional friends and family to watch the Boys in Blue in action in the future.

All ticket holders should have received an email on Friday, March 13, with details on the options available and instructions for how to provide their preferred option. In addition, ticket holders will receive additional outreach on ticketing options in the weeks following the June 4 return to play an

Ticket holders are invited to reach out directly to their Ticket Sales Representative, or to contact the Indy Eleven front office at 317-685-1100 or if they did not receive the email with options and/or for assistance in this process.

Q: Are the Indy Eleven players training during the break?

A: Indy Eleven’s players have not trained as a group since the second week of March. On April 30, the United Soccer League announced it has extended its team training moratorium for USL Championship clubs through, and including, Friday, May 15.

In accordance with USL protocols and local health guidelines, INdy Eleven returned to training facilities in mid-May to conduct individual work. Re-opening of club facilities and moving on to larger training groups will be done in accordance with local and state guidelines, and with all involved adhering to social distancing protocols.

Q: Will there be any other Indy Eleven events other than games held during the break in play?

A: Out of an abundance of caution, Indy Eleven will not be hosting any public events with players or staff until further notice. We appreciate our fans and partners' understanding when it comes to appearances and will look forward to having our players and staff out in the community once again when it is safe and appropriate for all involved.

Q: Is the Indy Eleven front office open?

A: As of Monday, March 23, members of the Indy Eleven front office are working remotely and will be responsive to communications per usual via email and phone during normal business hours, Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.,

You may still call our main office phone number at 317-685-1100 to have general questions answered. You can also visit our Front Office website page to find contact information for members of the staff in order to reach out to them directly.
