INDIANAPOLIS – Indy Eleven announced today that the club and Cammy Smith have mutually agreed to terminate his contract with the club, allowing the Scottish forward to return to the United Kingdom for personal reasons.
Prior to his departure, the 25-year-old Aberdeen native notched one goal and one assist across 717 minutes of action while appearing in all 13 of the squad’s regular season matches (nine starts) to date.
Today’s transaction leaves 26 players on the Indy Eleven (4W-5L-4D, 16 pts., 5th in Central Division) roster heading into this Saturday’s home contest against Birmingham Legion FC (7W-4L-1D, 22 pts., 2nd in Central Division). Tickets for the 7:00 p.m. ET kickoff on “Keep Indy Live” Night are limited but still available and can be secured by visiting indyeleven.com/tickets or by calling 317-685-1100 during regular business hours. Fans who can’t make it can follow the action on WISH-TV 8, ESPN+, Exitos Radio 94.3 FM/exitos943.com, and the @IndyElevenLive Twitter feed, presented by Central Indiana Honda Dealers.
