Indy Eleven Professional Soccer announces that forward Soony Saad has been called up by the Lebanon National Team ahead of an international friendly.
Miodrag Radulovic, head coach of the Lebanon National Team, named Saad to his 22-man senior roster for the upcoming friendly against Kuwait on October 11. Saad is expected to return in time for the “Boys in Blue’s” final USL regular season fixture against Louisville City FC on Saturday, October 13, at 7:30 p.m.
The 26-year-old Dearborn, Michigan native will be making his 11th appearance for Lebanon after his transition from the United States National Team in 2013. Saad has scored three goals in total for Lebanon, including one in the nation's 5-2 victory over Thailand in a qualifying round of the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.
