Before Indy Eleven: Panicco, 25, was a four-year starter at UNC Charlotte, where he made 77 appearances for the club. He is a three-time All-Conference USA First Team selection and a three-time recipient of the Conference USA Golden Glove, which is given to the goalkeeper with the most shutouts in conference play. After graduation, he was selected 13th overall in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft by Nashville SC. He was then loaned to Austin Bold of the USL Championship, making his debut on May 21, 2021 against the Real Monarchs. Panicco appeared and started 28 matches for the club in 2021, finishing the season tied for second across the Championship with 11 shutouts.
