Indy Eleven’s roster building for the 2023 USL Championship season continued on February 8 with the loan acquisition of midfielder Harrison Robledo from Major League Soccer side FC Cincinnati.
Robledo spent his first professional season with FC Cincinnati in 2022, when he made two substitute appearances totaling 44 minutes for the side’s MLS outfit in league play, went the distance in a pair of Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup matches, and also started in a League Cup affair against Chivas de Guadalajara.
Robledo spent most of his rookie campaign with FC Cincinnati 2, scoring once and adding an assist while logging over 1,400 minutes in his 17 appearances (16 starts). Robledo led FCC 2 with 31 tackles and 22 key passes, showing off his bona fides on both sides of the ball from different roles in central midfield.
The native of Queens, N.Y., joined the FC Cincinnati Academy in 2020 after spending four years with the New York City FC Academy. While in the NYCFC youth system, he won the 2016 GA Cup with their U-16 team and played on the 2018 U-18/U19 Development National Championship team.
They Said It …
Robledo on Joining Indiana’s Team: “I can’t wait to get started with Indy Eleven and enjoy this new experience here in Indianapolis. I look forward to learning from Coach Lowry and my teammates and working with them towards bringing our club and fans a championship.”
Lowry on What Robledo Brings to His Squad: “Harrison will be a great addition to the group. He is an attack-minded midfielder who is capable of playing a few different positions for us. He loves to turn and dribble and is very creative in tight spaces, and will give us a different look to help break down the opposition’s defensive blocks.”
