Indianapolis – Jack Blake netted the decisive goal in the first half off a smooth sequence with Aodhan Quinn to give Indy Eleven a hard-fought 1-0 win over Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC on June 14.
The game-winning goal came in the second minute of added time after a forced turnover by Finn McRobb. McRobb quickly pushed the ball to Aodhan Quinn, who threaded a pass in front of the goal. Blake controlled the ball with a quick double touch before slotting a left-footed shot into the goal. It was Blake’s 35th career strike in the USL Championship regular season.
Quinn, who has continued to dominate in the midfield, recorded his fifth assist of the season. The veteran midfielder is tied for third all-time in the league with 55 career assists, and has 111 total goal contributions (56 goals, 55 assists), ranking 22nd.
Defensively, the Boys in Blue were solid. Goalkeeper Hunter Sulte opened the match with an early clearance and earned his 10th clean sheet with Indy Eleven. Ben Ofeimu and Elvis Amoh each recorded key defensive saves in the first half to deny Pittsburgh inside the box. Defender Pat Hogan added a crucial block in the 30th minute to keep the clean sheet intact.
Indy controlled much of the first-half possession and nearly broke through in the 17th minute when Amoh fired a shot from inside the box that was then deflected, leading to a right-footed strike from Blake that went just wide. Moments later, Quinn tested Pittsburgh keeper Eric Dick with a strong effort inside the box.
Pittsburgh pushed late but was denied by a key defensive stop from Quinn after a dangerous shot inside the box.

Blake is Back
Indy Eleven midfielder Jack Blake made his first appearance of 2026 and scored a goal, but it wasn’t enough as the Boys in Blue fell 2-1 to Union Omaha in Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Second Round action at Carroll Stadium.
Blake entered in the 67th minute with his team playing down a man after goalkeeper Reice Charles-Cook was issued a red card in the 59th.
In the 93rd minute, Blake chipped a left-footed ball from outside the area to the corner of the six to Bruno Rendon, but his shot was stopped. Thirty seconds later, midfielder Josh O’Brien started the scoring sequence with a cross from the right side that was deflected into the edge of the area, where defender Logan Neidlinger volleyed it on goal. Coach Sean McAuley
Head coach Sean McAuley earned the USLC “Coach of the Month” in May 2024 and he was nominated for USLC Midseason “Coach of the Year” after leading his team to a 12-match unbeaten streak in a two-month span from April 17-June 15.
The Sheffield, England, native led Indy Eleven to the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup semifinals with four straight victories, including a 2-1 triumph at MLS-side Atlanta United on July 9.
In 2025, Indy Eleven continued its run of Cup success under McAuley with a 4-0-3 record in cup play. The Boys in Blue won their U.S. Open Cup Third Round match vs. Miami FC on Hayden’s White’s stoppage-time goal from Cam Lindley. In the Round of 32, Indy Eleven played MLS Supporters Shield winner Philadelphia Union to a 1-1 draw through 120 minutes, before falling in penalty kicks.
In the franchise’s first appearance in the USL Cup, the Boys in Blue won their group with an undefeated record that included a victory in PK’s (7-6) vs. Birmingham Legion FC and a 2-1 triumph over eventual USL-C finalist FC Tulsa.
McAuley is in his third season in Indy after previously serving as interim head coach/assistant at MLS-side Minnesota United FC. McAuley helped Minnesota to playoff appearances in his first three seasons, including a trip to the Western Conference Finals in 2020.
In 2015, he hoisted the MLS Cup with the Portland Timbers.
McAuley began his playing career with Manchester United and played for Portland Timbers and the Scottish U-21 National Team.
