
Dayton, Ohio – Indy Eleven fell to USL W League Valley Division leader Dayton Dutch Lions FC in a 1-0 loss in driving rain on Sunday afternoon. The Girls in Blue are second in the division and they were #4 in the USL Week 2 Power Rankings.
Goalie and captain Emily Edwards had a strong showing, limiting Dayton to one goal while making some key saves. Edwards’ play enabled the Girls in Blue to maintain a good pace despite the conditions.
Indy Eleven gave themselves chances to get a goal with shots from Riley Boyd, Chloe Brecht, Nicky Jodoin, and Elise May.
The Girls in Blue travel to rival Racing Louisville FC on Wednesday at 6 p.m. on Sports Engine Play.
