Indianapolis – Indy Eleven midfielder Jack Blake scored his 45th USL Championship goal to give the Boys in Blue a 2-1 victory over Eastern Conference rival Louisville City FC in front of 9,542 fans at Carroll Stadium.
Captain Aodhan Quinn started the game-winning sequence with the match tied 1-1 in the 60th minute, creating some space in the midfield to curl a through ball between two defenders to Blake. Blake played a quick touch to forward Edward Kizza who gave it right back and Blake took a touch to his right to create space for a 25-yard strike that tucked inside the left post. It is Blake’s franchise-best 29th Indy Eleven goal, his third in USL-C play this season, and the fourth in all comps in 2026. Kizza recorded his second assist of the campaign.
Bruno Rendon put the Boys on Blue on top in the 31st minute off an assist from Quinn. Midfielder Cam Lindley started the play by sliding to deflect a pass in the center circle to Quinn. Off the bounce, Quinn one-timed a through ball to Rendon on the right side. Rendon headed it down and with a defender closing on him, fired a sharp-angle shot low and hard inside the far post to give his team a 1-0 lead.
It is Rendon’s team-high eighth goal in USL-C play and his 10th in all competitions this season. It is Quinn’s team-best fourth assist in league play, his fifth in all comps in 2026, and the 65th of his USL Championship career. He is now one assist behind all-time leader Kenardo Forbes (66).
Boys in Blue goalkeeper Eric Dick matched his season high with seven saves to increase his career total to 307 in USL-C regular-season play, good for 18th on the league all-time list.

On his team’s execution
“It is a credit to the players on their work on the training ground because we spoke about exploring that area of the field when we had time to go out with it and get behind the green.”
On the players combining the Brickyard Battalion to support Flood Relief
“It is great that our supporters and players worked together to provide some relief to the people that are struggling in Indiana from the flood. Our players donated much-needed supplies to support the community and that is something that I’m proud of. Our connection with the sport must be first and foremost.”
Jack Blake
On newcomer Joe Hafferty
“Joe is phenomenal. We needed him to come in, work hard, break up the play, and break up everything”
Executing the game plan
We’ve been doing it all week. The coaching staff has instilled in us what is expected, what we want in this game, and how we approach it. We executed the game professionally. We gave everything in that one. Feeling good about this match, especially at home.”

Coming to Indy Eleven
“It’s been great. The club has done a fantastic job making the whole process seamless and smooth, and getting me up to speed. The players have been great welcoming me. I was comfortable taking the field with them. You want to compete and play for a team that wants to win, and it seemed like the right move. I’ll do anything to help our team.”
