Fixture at Birmingham Legion FC shifts to midweek match-up
Birmingham Legion FC and the USL Championship today announced a date change for Indy Eleven’s regular season finale, which will now take place on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Progressive Field in Birmingham, Ala., with kickoff set for 8:00 p.m. ET (7:00 p.m. local/CT). Fans will still be able to watch the action live on ESPN+ and receive in-game updates via the @IndyElevenLive Twitter feed, presented by Central Indiana Honda Dealers.
The match was moved to accommodate the University of Alabama Birmingham Blazers’ football game against Charlotte on the Eleven vs. Legion’s originally scheduled date of Saturday, Oct. 15.
The Oct. 12 contest will be the second between Indy and Birmingham in just over one month’s time, as Indiana’s Team is set to host Legion FC at IUPUI Carroll Stadium next Saturday, Sept. 10, at 7:00 p.m.
Indy Eleven continues its 2022 USL Championship regular season slate tomorrow, Wednesday, Aug. 31, when it welcomes its archrival and the current Eastern Conference leader, Louisville City FC, to “The Mike” for a 7:00 p.m. ET kickoff, presented by Pro X Athlete Development. The lone 2022 installment of the Louisville-Indianapolis Proximity Association Football Contest in the Circle City will mark the club’s “College Night”, details for which can be found at indyeleven.com/promotions, and tickets for which can be found at indyeleven.com/tickets.
