Morgan County’s Largest Youth Soccer Organization Joins Eleven’s Grass Roots Program Supporting Rec Soccer
Indy Eleven is proud to welcome Morgan County-based Komets Fútbol Club as the newest member of the Indy Eleven Youth Soccer Program.
The Indy Eleven Youth Soccer Program is designed to increase accessibility to soccer in communities and encourage players, coaches, referees, and parents to grow their passion for the sport by supporting the recreational soccer programs at member clubs.
“Indy Eleven is thrilled to welcome Komets FC into our growing Youth Soccer Program family. The club looks forward to sharing our experiences and expertise with their players, coaches, and volunteers and working together to grow soccer’s already strong presence in Morgan County,” said Greg Stremlaw, Indy Eleven President and Chief Executive Officer.
Komets FC is now the tenth club to join Indy Eleven’s grass roots initiative that will continue to grow annually and support more than 15,000 young players at the recreational level across the State of Indiana.
Komets Fútbol Club, established in 1997, is a non-profit youth sports organization that offers recreational and competitive soccer in Mooresville, Indiana. Komets FC has the largest youth sports recreational program in Morgan County, consisting of 745 players. Komets FC is guided by a volunteer board of directors, volunteer coaches and dedicated parents that have helped grow the club into what it is today.
“This is a great opportunity to expand youth soccer in the Mooresville area,” said Mike Smith, Komets FC Director of Coaching. “Anytime you can partner with our local professional team to bring positive experiences to youth players, it is beneficial. We look forward to working with Indy Eleven in providing this outstanding experience for our recreational players and their families.”
