For the First Time, Fans Decide Season’s Best for Both Men’s and Women’s Sides
As has been tradition since Indy Eleven’s inaugural season of 2014, members of the Boys in Blue and the Brickyard Battalion joined together one last time to cap off the campaign at the BYB Awards, where the best moments and performances of the season are celebrated annually with the awarding of the coveted Golden Corndog trophies to winners in several categories.
This year’s version added a welcome new twist – determining the best of the best from the historic season for the Indy Eleven’s women’s team that kicked off in the USL W League over the summer. While the vast majority of that squad was unable to attend while in the midst of their fall collegiate seasons across the country, the Girls in Blue were represented on the evening by Head Coach Paul Dolinsky, who reminded the club’s supporters of their influence on the squad throughout a season to remember.
