Soderstrom Leads Indy to Tie with Rival Racing Louisville FC
Westfield, Ind. (Friday, June 2, 2023) – Indy Eleven opened its 2023 home slate with a 1-1 draw against rival Racing Louisville FC at the Grand Park Sports Campus Friday. Both teams sit at 3-0-1 on the season and sit atop the USL W League Valley Division with 10 points.
The teams traded chances in the first half, but it was Louisville that struck first in the 38th minute when Jordyn Rhodes converted a header from just outside the six-yard box off a cross from Brooke Dardano.
Indy outshot Louisville 6-5 in the first half, including two apiece from Hal Hershfelt and Trinity Watson but the visiting team took the lead into halftime despite a pair of Indy corners that found Hershfelt and Greta Kraszula for solid chances.
