United Soccer Alliance of Indiana joins Eleven’s grass roots program supporting rec soccer across Indiana
INDIANAPOLIS (Thursday, July 6, 2023) – Indy Eleven today announced the newest member to the Indy Eleven Youth Soccer Program, United Soccer Alliance of Indiana (USAi).
The Indy Eleven Youth Soccer Program is designed to increase accessibility to soccer in communities and encourage players, coaches, referees and parents to grow their passion for the sport by supporting the recreational soccer programs at member clubs.
Indy Eleven’s grass roots initiative now includes 15 clubs, which supports more than 16,000 young players at the recreational level across the State of Indiana.
“Indy Eleven is excited to add USAi to its growing list of Indy area partners as part of the club’s Youth Soccer Program initiative,” said Greg Stremlaw, Indy Eleven President and Chief Executive Officer. “We look forward to supporting USAi’s commitment to growing youth soccer in its communities.”
USA of Indiana operates community-based Recreation and Recreation Plus programs in Avon, Brownsburg and Indianapolis communities and has provided 80,000 children (ages 1-19) a place to play soccer each fall and spring season. Its mission is to develop children, through soccer, into upstanding fine young men and women in their communities.
“USA of Indiana is proud to partner with Indy Eleven to continue the growth of youth soccer in Indiana,” said Matthew Schlake, Director of Operations, USA of Indiana. “Indy Eleven aligns with our core belief that every child should have a place to play soccer. This partnership improves the soccer experience for our Hendricks County and Indianapolis Recreational players, families and coaches.”
Indy Eleven has previously announced it will serve as the presenting sponsor of the Mayor Hogsett Indy International Soccer Cup July 15. The free event is hosted by USAi and is open to teams with age brackets ranging from 7-10, 11-13 and 14-16 years of age.
