Marshall now one of 16 clubs in the Indy Eleven Youth Program
INDIANAPOLIS (Monday, July 17, 2023) – Indy Eleven today welcomed Marshall Area Soccer Club as the first out-of-state member of the Indy Eleven Youth Soccer Program.
The Indy Eleven Youth Soccer Program is designed to increase accessibility to soccer in communities and encourage players, coaches, referees and parents to grow their passion for the sport by supporting the recreational soccer programs at member clubs.
Marshall Club, based out of Marshall, Illinois, is now the 16th club in partnership with Indy Eleven’s grassroots initiative, which supports more than 16,000 youth soccer players across the state of Indiana and now Illinois.
“We are always excited to add youth partners to our programming with the goal of growing the game across all communities,” said Greg Stremlaw, Indy Eleven President and Chief Executive Officer. “However, with the addition of Marshall, we have expanded these relationships across the Indiana border to help spread the grassroots initiative even further. We look forward to bringing Indiana’s team to Illinois.”
Since 1998, Marshall Club has provided opportunities to learn teamwork and sportsmanship to Marshall-area youth. The club’s mission is to operate soccer programs where youth can cultivate positive character traits, have positive learning experiences and reach their full potential while promoting interest in the game of soccer.
“We feel very fortunate to have a successful program like Indy Eleven help support small recreational programs like ours,” Ashley Guard with Marshall said. “Our team and community are excited about the opportunities of this partnership. We are looking forward to working with Indy Eleven.”
