Boys in Blue open the season at Oakland March 9; Welcome Sacramento for home opener March 23
TAMPA, Florida (Monday, December 18, 2023) – The USL Championship today announced the 2024 league slate of 408 matches, including a 34-game schedule for the Boys in Blue. The 2024 season marks the 11th overall for Indy and seventh as part of the USL Championship, and the 14th for the league overall.
Indy opens the slate on a two-match road swing beginning with non-conference foe Oakland Roots SC on March 9 before returning home to host 2023 Western Conference Champion Sacramento Republic FC at Michael A. Carroll Stadium on March 23. In all, seven matches will be contested off the usual Saturday schedule, including Wednesday and Sunday home matches as part of a five-game August.
The 2024 edition of the USL Championship features 24 teams, with each playing 34 matches over 34 weeks, an increase from the 32-week schedule in 2023. Like 2023, Indy Eleven will play home-and-home series against all 11 Eastern Conference foes, along with 12 total matches, split home and away, with Western Conference opponents. The top eight teams from each division will qualify for the single-elimination playoff bracket.
With the addition of Rhode Island FC and North Carolina FC, and exit of San Diego Loyal SC and Rio Grande Valley FC, familiar Eastern Conference opponents Memphis 901 FC and FC Tulsa will shift to the Western Conference for balanced 12-team divisions.

The 2024 USL Championship Playoffs, which will kick off on the weekend of November 1-3, 2024, and the postseason will culminate in the 2024 USL Championship Final on CBS on a to-be determined date between Nov. 21 and Nov. 25, 2023.
