Slate includes a pair of home matches open to the public
INDIANAPOLIS (Friday, Jan. 19, 2024) – Indy Eleven has today announced a slate of seven preseason matches, including a pair of home games that will be open to the public in preparation for the 2024 USL Championship season.
The Boys in Blue open exhibition contests when they travel to face 2023 USL Championship Eastern Conference Champion Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC on Feb. 6.
Chicago Fire FC II comes to town on February 10 for the first open match on the slate, while a February 18 match against Columbus Crew2 is also open to the general public.
Matches will be held at the Grand Park Events Center in Westfield, Indiana. Admission and parking are free.
The 2024 season will be the first under Head Coach Sean McAuley, who was announced as the fifth head coach in club history on January 8. The Boys in Blue have announced a returning core of 11 players, which features 2023 All-USL Championship selections Adrian Diz Pe and Cam Lindley, as well as an exciting group of newcomers with more signings to announce in the coming weeks.
Indy opens the regular season on a two-match road swing beginning with non-conference foe Oakland Roots SC on March 9 before returning home to host 2023 Western Conference Champion Sacramento Republic FC at Michael A. Carroll Stadium on March 23.
