First Meeting
Indy Eleven holds a 3-1-1 series advantage vs. Philadelphia Union II (formerly Bethlehem Steel FC).
The last time those teams met was September 14, 2019 in Lucas Oil Stadium, with current Boys in Blue defender Ben Ofeimu scoring the only goal for Bethlehem Steel in a 2-1 setback.
The West Bloomfield Township, Michigan, native also played against Indy Eleven at Subaru Park on April 20, 2019, with the Boys in Blue prevailing 3-0.
The 24-year-old Ofeimu came to Union’s Academy as a teenager in 2015 and signed professionally with Bethlehem Steel in 2019, making 48 league appearances in three seasons.
In 2025, Ofeimu is tied for the team lead in blocks (3) and he is third in clearances (24) and aerial duels won (9). The 6’4 Ofeimu had 10 clearances and two interceptions in Saturday’s 2-2 draw vs. his hometown team, Detroit City FC.
Amoh USLC “Team of the Week”
Indy Eleven forward Elvis Amoh is on the USL Championship Team of the Week for weeks 8/9 after scoring two goals for the second consecutive match to rally his team to a 2-2 draw against USL Eastern Conference rival Detroit City FC at Carroll Stadium on Saturday.
Amoh, who made his first start of the season, has scored five goals in his last three matches, including back-to-back braces at Forward Madison FC in the USL Jägermeister Cup on April 26 and Saturday. He recorded his first Indy Eleven goal the previous match vs. Charleston Battery on April 19.
With his team trailing 2-0 in the 27th minute last Saturday, Amoh stole an attempted pass back towards goalkeeper Carlos Herrera, turned and fired a shot into the top left corner.
The Boys in Blue were playing down a man in the 66th minute when Amoh struck again after a long ball from Ben Ofeimu was headed by captain Aodhan Quinn to Amoh, who took a quick dribble and fired a shot that hit the inside of the left post and went in to make it 2-2. It marked the first Boys in Blue goal playing a man down since July 1, 2023 vs. San Diego Loyal SC.
In the match, the 33-year-old Amoh led the team in shots (2), shots on target (2), and successful dribbles (2) and he shared team honors in tackles won (2), adding nine duels won in 67 minutes.
On the season, Amoh is tied for 12th in the USLC in goals (3), and he is one of four players who scored two goals in the opening round of the USL Jägermeister Cup (earning “Team of the Round” honors). The Kumasi, Ghana, native now has 45 career goals in 140 USLC regular season and playoff appearances.

Sulte Saves
Indy Eleven goalkeeper Hunter Sulte made two big saves to keep Saturday’s match vs. Detroit City FC tied. In the 83rd minute, Sulte dove to his left to stop a shot by Detroit’s Stephen Carroll that was heading towards the bottom right corner. Then in the second minute of second half stoppage time, Sulte recovered quickly to move from the right side of the goal to stop a shot by Ates Diouf headed toward the top left corner, punching it out.
Open Cup Magic, Year 2
Indianapolis- Indy Eleven defender Hayden White celebrated his 30th birthday a day late with the game-winning goal in the 123rd minute off an assist from midfielder Cam Lindley in the Boys in Blue’s 1-0 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Third Round victory over Miami FC in added extra time on Wednesday, April 16.
Lindley delivered a perfect corner kick that White flicked home in the right corner of the goal in the final minute of stoppage time in the second 15-minute overtime period. It was White’s first Indy Eleven goal and Lindley’s first assist this season.
Indy Eleven rekindled its 2024 Open Cup magic when it won four straight matches to reach the Open Cup semifinals.
Four Indy players (Reice Charles-Cook, Elliot Collier, Finn McRobb, Brem Soumaoro) made season debuts, with Elvis Amoh, Logan Neidlinger, and Josh O’Brien making their first starts of 2025.
In his Boys in Blue debut, Charles-Cook made six saves in 119 minutes to help record a clean sheet. The Lewisham, England, native was active in added extra time with three saves in the first extra session, including a kick save in the 98th minute on a shot by forward Francisco Bonfiglio.
The Boys in Blue had their best chance in added extra time in the 108th minute when midfielder Bruno Rendon centered to forward Edward Kizza, but his header struck the left goal post.
In the first half, Indy Eleven dominated possession, with the best scoring chance in the 23rd minute when Rendon’s shot off a pass from Collier was punched over the top by Miami keeper Bill Hamid.
