Rendon First Player to Score 10 Goals in USL Cup History!
Indy Eleven forward Bruno Rendon became the first player in the three-year history of the USL Cup to reach double digits in goals with his 10th vs. Union Omaha on Saturday at Carroll Stadium.
In the 80th minute, defender Logan Neidlinger started the goal sequence with service from the right sideline to forward Dylan Sing, whose header inside the far post was saved. Captain Aodhan Quinn intercepted the attempted clearance in the area, took one touch, and drove the ball inside the six to Rendon, who backheeled it in with his left foot. Rendon’s score is a finalist for the Prinx Tires USL Cup “Goal of the Round”.
In the 2025 USL Cup, Rendon helped Indy Eleven to the quarterfinals, recording his first Boys in Blue assist and having a pass turn into an own goal vs. FC Tulsa in group play. He also converted a penalty kick in the 7-6 shootout victory over Birmingham Legion in the group stage. Rendon added an assist in the quarterfinal match.
The 2024 USL League One “Defender of the Year” for Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC under former Indy Eleven franchise scoring leader Éamon Zayed led his team to the inaugural USL Cup Championship in 2024 with an amazing nine goals in eight games.
The Matanzas, Cuba, native leads the Boys in Blue with four goals and an assist in all competitions in 2026.
The 25-year-old Rendon is among USL Championship leaders in three categories–tied for 10th in goals (3), tied for 11th in shots on target (7), and tied for 14th in shots (11).
The 6’2 Rendon has earned USL-C “Team of the Week” honors three times for the Boys in Blue–Week 3 in 2026 (3/24) and Week 3 and Week 33 in 2025.
