Louisville, Ky. – Indy Eleven fell to USL W League Valley Division rival Racing Louisville FC in a hard-fought 1-0 loss Wednesday evening in 82-degree conditions. The Girls in Blue remain in third place in the division.
It was a homecoming for Nicky Jodoin and Brooklyn Lee in Louisville. Both players play their collegiate soccer for the University of Louisville, so they are no strangers to Derby City. They showed their comfort on the field with great shots in the first half and a strong showing on both ends.
The Girls in Blue gave themselves scoring chances by earning 10 corner kicks in the match. These provided scoring opportunities against Racing’s strong defense.
The Girls in Blue travel to Toledo to face Toledo Villa FC for the final road game of the regular season next Wednesday at 7 p.m. on Sports Engine Play.
