(Sept. 15, 2026) Tampa, Fla. – Fourth-year Indy Eleven midfielder Jack Blake has been selected to the USL Championship “Team of the Week” for the second time in four weeks, the fourth time this season, and the 16th time in his Boys in Blue career!
The Nottingham, England, native scored the game-tying goal at Western Conference leader New Mexico United in the 59th minute to cap an Indy Eleven rally from a 2-0 halftime deficit for a 2-2 draw. Forward Loïc Mesanvi made a diagonal run from the center line to execute a give-and-go with Blake to set up defender Joe Hafferty for a blast from inside the 18 right side. Goalkeeper Kris Shakes made the save, but the rebound caromed to Blake, who patiently waited for the ball to bounce and finished with his left foot to tie it at 2-2.
It is Blake’s fourth goal this season, his franchise-best 30th goal for the Boys in Blue, and his 46th career USL-C tally.
The 31-year-old Blake led Indy Eleven with six shots and four tackles won at New Mexico, adding three chances created, 24 completed passes (12 completed in the final third), four recoveries, three crosses attempted, and two fouls won.
Despite missing four USL-C matches this season, Blake leads the Boys in Blue in shots (40), fouls won (37), and tackles won (20), he is second in goals (4), assists (3), shots on target (14), and duels won (101), and fourth in chances created (23). He is tied for 10th in the USL-C in shots.
On the Indy Eleven all-time list for all competitions, Blake is first in goals (30), second in minutes played (9,457), fouls won (207), and games started (111), third in matches played (123), fourth in chances created (122), and fifth in assists (14).
