Last Meeting
Indy Eleven fell on the road at Miami FC on July 15 conceding on both sides of halftime to lose 2-0 at Pitbull Stadium. The defeat snapped a seven-game winning streak against Miami FC in all competitions for the Boys in Blue, who hadn’t lost to their Eastern Conference rival since 2022.
Indy Eleven — who entered the game tied for first in goals conceded with 12 in 12 games — stayed strong defensively for much of the first half. The visitors won the first four corners of the game, finishing with a 9-1 advantage in that category.
Bruno Rendon almost nabbed his eighth league goal of the year in the 39th minute off one of those corners from captain Aodhan Quinn, but his volley from the right side of the six was cleared off the line. Quinn recorded a game-high 10 crosses in the match.
Shortly after, goalkeeper Eric Dick made his only save, catching an airborne shot from outside of the box to the middle of the goal.
After Miami took the lead just before halftime, the Boys in Blue were on the front foot for the start of the second half, putting two shots on target in the first 15 minutes. The second one came after Rendon made a crafty run into the box off the right wing, but his low shot to the near post was saved.
Miami’s insurance goal ended a seven-game streak for Indy Eleven of allowing one goal or less in the league. The last time a team scored two or more goals against the Boys in Blue was Birmingham Legion FC in a 2-2 draw on April 19. The visitors outshot the hosts 13-10.

Blake & Rendon “Team of the Week”
Indy Eleven is well-represented on the USL Championship “Team of the Week” for Week 29 with midfielder Jack Blake and forward Bruno Rendon selected. Blake and Rendon combined for three goals and three assists in the Boys in Blue’s 4-0 victory over Brooklyn FC last Tuesday, with Blake recording his seventh career brace in the first half.
The franchise all-time goal leader (32) has six goals this season (second on the team behind Rendon) and 48 in his USL-C career, good for a tie for 38th on the league all-time list. The last Indy Eleven player to score two goals in a USL-C match was Rendon vs. Loudoun United FC on October 18, 2025.
Blake added his fourth assist of the season and the 29th of his career in the 48th minute on Edward Kizza’s third goal of the campaign and the 23rd in league play in his career.
Despite missing four USL-C matches in 2026, Blake leads the Boys in Blue in shots (44), fouls won (42), and tackles won (23), he is tied for first in assists (4), second in goals (4), shots on target (17), and duels won (113), and fourth in chances created (27). He is tied for ninth in the USL-C in shots.
On the Indy Eleven all-time list for all competitions, Blake is first in goals (32), second in minutes played (9,621), fouls won (210), and games started (113), third in matches played (125), fourth in chances created (126), and fifth in assists (14).
Blake was chosen to the “Team of the Week” for the second straight week, the third time in five weeks, the fifth time this season, and the 17th time in his Boys in Blue career!
Rendon recorded two assists in the match for the first time in his USL-C career, setting up both of Blake’s goals. He scored his team-high ninth goal in league play and his team-best 11th in all competitions in 2026 off Josh O’Brien’s second assist this season. The last Indy Eleven player to record two assists in a match was Elliot Collier vs. Miami on September 28, 2024.
Rendon leads Indy Eleven in goals (9), shots on target (27), duels won (141), and aerial duels won (77) in USL-C play. The 26-year-old is tied for third in the league in shots on target, seventh in duels won, eighth in aerial duels won, tied for 10th in goals, and 12th in shots (42). In all competitions, the Matanzas, Cuba, native has a team-high 11 goals and four assists in 2026.
Rendon was one of four finalists for the USL-C “Player of the Month” for May after leading the Boys in Blue to four consecutive victories by scoring goals in each of the four matches. He recorded four goals across all competitions in May, averaging a goal every 111.5 minutes, recording 13 shots and eight chances created while posting a shot conversion rate of 44.4 percent.
He has earned USL-C “Team of the Week” honors three times this year and five times since joining Indy Eleven last season. Two of his 2026 goals were “Goal of the Week” nominees and one was a Prinx Tires USL Cup “Goal of the Round” finalist.
Rendon leads all players in the three-year history of the Prinx Tires USL Cup with 11 goals–four more than any other player.
Rendon joined Indy Eleven after earning USL League One “Defender of the Year” in 2024 for Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC under coach Eamon Zayed, the Boys in Blue franchise scoring leader prior to Blake surpassing him on April 11. Rendon helped Northern Colorado to its best-ever season and the inaugural USL Cup championship, scoring nine goals in eight Cup matches.

The Indy Eleven offense generated 17 shots (13 inside the box, seven shots on target), seven corners won, 17 fouls won, and 1.73 Expected Goals, but Oakland Roots SC goalkeeper Kendall McIntosh made five saves to lead his team to a 1-0 win.
In the sixth minute Cam Lindley started a scoring chance at midfield with an interception and a left-footed ball to the right side to Bruno Rendon. The Boys in Blue forward made a great run and played a cross to Blake near the penalty spot, but his shot was blocked. Joe Hafferty got the rebound, took a quick touch, and fired a laser toward the upper 90, but it was saved.
Defender Alejandro Mitrano started another opportunity in the 27th minute with a steal at midfield. After an Indy Eleven buildup, Mitrano played a cross to Edward Kizza inside the 18 and he played a quick touch to Josh O’Brien for a shot.
Captain Aodhan Quinn, in his 100th start for the Boys in Blue in all competitions, played a free kick in the 43rd minute that McIntosh punched out. Blake got the rebound and quickly shot toward the far post, but it was deflected wide.
In the final minute of first half stoppage, Quinn took a free kick from a dangerous spot and shot in between two walls of Oakland players, but McIntosh again made a diving save.
Indy Eleven continued its attack at the start of the second half in the 47th minute when Kizza uncorked a one-touch shot just under the crossbar that McIntosh punched away.
After Oakland took the lead, the Boys in Blue responded with Blake winning a 50/50 ball and playing it inside the 18 to O’Brien, who took a touch to his right to create space and fired it to the upper 90 near post, but McIntosh punched it over the bar.
In the 73rd, Anthony Herbert won an aerial duel inside the 18 and headed it to Malik Henry-Scott at the edge of the six and he blasted it on target, but McIntosh again parried it away.
Indy Eleven produced another buildup in the 89th minute with Mohamed Omar running into space and playing a diagonal ball to Loic Mesanvi just outside the box left side. He played a quick ball to Henry-Scott who took a dribble and touched it out to Omar who curled a shot just over the crossbar.

Coach Sean McAuley
Sean McAuley is the longest-tenured coach in Indy Eleven history, coaching his 100th match vs. Hartford Athletic on August 9.
McAuley was named to the USL-C “Team of the Week” for Weeks 12 and 25 of 2026. His team was undefeated in league matches at Carroll Stadium from August 31, 2025 to July 24, 2026 (9-0-1).
McAuley earned USL-C “Coach of the Month” in May 2024 and was nominated for USL-C Midseason “Coach of the Year” after leading his team to a 12-match unbeaten streak (4/17-6/15).
The Sheffield, England, native led Indy Eleven to the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup semifinals with four straight victories, including a 2-1 triumph at MLS-side Atlanta United on July 9.
In 2025, Indy Eleven continued its run of Cup success under McAuley with a 4-0-3 record in cup play. The Boys in Blue won their U.S. Open Cup Third Round match vs. Miami FC on Hayden’s White’s stoppage-time goal from Cam Lindley.
