Last Meeting
Indy Eleven battled the only undefeated team in the USL Championship to the final whistle in a 1-0 setback at the Tampa Bay Rowdies on May 2. That snapped the Boys in Blue’s five-match unbeaten streak dating back to the season opener on March 8.
Midfielder Cam Lindley’s free kick from long range to the far post in the final minute of second half stoppage time was headed by forward Bruno Rendon toward the near post, but Rowdies keeper Jahmali Waite tipped it wide with his right hand to keep the Boys in Blue from equalizing.
Indy Eleven created a good scoring opportunity in the 67th minute, with Josh O’Brien making a quick move on the right side to send it forward to Anthony Herbert, who played it forward with a quick touch to Rendon. At the edge of the box, Rendon centered it to Noble Okello whose quick touch went just wide of the near post.
Lindley and Rendon keyed the attack with three chances created in the match, while five different Boys in Blue players had two shots–Jack Blake, Paco Craig, O’Brien, Okello, and Rendon.
Indy Eleven goalkeeper Eric Dick made a key save in the 12th minute, deflecting Karsen Henderlong’s shot from just outside the six over the crossbar with a reflex stop with his right hand.

Bruno Double Digits
Indy Eleven forward Bruno Rendon made the most of his return to the lineup after missing two games, scoring his 10th goal in USL-C play this season to help the Boys in Blue to a 1-1 road draw at Loudoun United FC on Saturday.
Late in the first half, the Boys in Blue took a 1-0 lead off a buildup that started at the edge of their 18. Defender Nabi Kibunguchy made a diagonal run from the left side and touched the ball back to captain Aodhan Quinn. Quinn took a touch and curled the ball into the box, where midfielder Josh O’Brien made an exquisite volley to his left to Rendon. Off the bounce, Rendon unleashed a banger into the upper 90 for his team-high 12th goal in all competitions this season.
Rendon’s double-digit goal output in USL-C action marks the third consecutive year under Coach Sean McAuley that at least one Boys in Blue player has scored 10 goals, with Jack Blake doing so in 2024 and 2025 and Augi Williams in 2024.
O’Brien recorded his career-best third assist this season. He almost put Indy Eleven on top in the 23rd minute. Midfielder Cam Lindley, who returned to the Starting XI and made his franchise-best 123rd start in all competitions, played a ball to the right side to defender Joe Hafferty, who spun to create space for a left-footed cross that O’Brien headed off the far post.
Loudoun countered immediately to produce an Eddy Davis III header from close range that Boys in Blue goalkeeper Eric Dick punched away with his right hand to earn his fourth “Save of the Week” nomination this season. Twenty seconds later Dick stopped another shot at the edge of the six by Pacifique Niyongabire, going down quickly to make the save.
In the 30th minute, Alejandro Mitrano executed a give-and-go with Rendon, who cut the ball with his left foot between a defender’s legs to space. Mitrano took a touch to his right and fired a shot from outside the box to the near post, where Loudoun keeper Jordan Farr made a diving save.
Early in the second half, Dick continued his fine play by making a diving save to thwart James Murphy’s shot from the edge of the box that was headed towards the near post in the 50th minute.
Dick finished the match with five saves to increase his season total to 80 and his career number to 326, good for 15th on the USL-C all-time list.
