Following one season of action at Purdue where she saw time in six matches, Simmons played her sophomore season at American University appearing in 15 games with three starts. The sophomore recorded a goal and two assists and tallied seven shots.
Simmons attended Highland High School and competed for Braddock Road Youth Club, helping lead the team to an ECNL Mid-Atlantic Conference championship each season from 2017-20. She was a four-time ECNL monthly standout and competed at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center from 2017-18. Simmons ranked No. 16 on Top Drawer’s ECNL top goal scorers list during the 2019-20 season.
