After three seasons at Milwaukee, Kugler completed her eligibility at Kentucky where she started all 18 matches and registered a pair of assists.
In three seasons with the Panthers, Kugler played in 59 games, starting 40, and tallied two goals and 15 assists. During the 2021 season, Milwaukee finished the season ranked No. 1 in the nation in goals against average (0.374), save % (0.893) and shutout % (0.762). Kugler helped the program to an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2021 after winning the Horizon League Championship and was a second-team All-Horizon League selection in 2019.
