Midfielder Barnett is a Carmel born native, who has experience playing both midfield and defense with her college team the Cumberlands Patriots where she is studying Exercise and Sport Science. During her time with the team, she has tallied 6 goals and 6 assists in her 53 appearances. As a sophomore she was considered a fundamental part of defense playing in 18 games (all starts) with the team recording nine shut-outs that season. Barnett has gathered her fair share of accolades during her sophomore and junior year. In 2019 during her sophomore year, she was part of MSC Second Team All-Conference, named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete, and MSC Academic All-Conference in both 2019 and 2020.
As a junior she played in 19 games with 16 starts, and earned her first multi-goal game against Thomas More with two goals. In this season she has scored five goals and assisted in seven, including assisting on two goals in the team’s 5-0 win over Mount Vernon Nazarene in the Opening Round of the NAIA Tournament. In 2020 Barnett was a NAIA All-American Honorable Mention and part of MSC First Team All-Conference. Also, during her 2020 season she helped defense with 12 shutout victories.
