Last Meeting (5/28/25)
Indianapolis – Indy Eleven forward Romario Williams scored his second goal of the night in the sixth minute of stoppage time off an assist from Elliot Collier to give the Boys in Blue a 4-4 draw vs. Hartford Athletic at Carroll Stadium.
Defender Josh O’Brien started the sequence with a run up the left sideline, touching it inside the area to Collier, who centered a through ball to Williams, who finished with a left-footed laser into the left corner of the net.
It was the second goal in stoppage time for Williams in the match. He ignited the Indy Eleven comeback from a 3-1 deficit in the second minute of first-half stoppage time with his first goal of the season. Captain Aodhan Quinn recorded an assist in his fourth consecutive USL Championship match, one shy of his career high of five in 2021 when he played for Phoenix Rising FC. Quinn played a free kick from the right side toward the far post, with Williams heading it home.
For Williams, it is his first brace as a member of the Boys in Blue. He moved up two spots into a tie for 17th on the USLC all-time list for regular season goals with 62. Williams is seventh all-time in Strike Rate for 50+ Regular Season Goals with his 62 goals coming in 153 appearances.
Quinn leads Indy Eleven with four assists this season, with all of them coming in the last four USLC matches. He is fourth on the USLC all-time list with 54 career assists, one behind Danny Barrera.
Just 15 seconds into the second half, midfielder Jack Blake scored off an assist from forward Maalique Foster to tie the match at 3-3. Foster dribbled up the right sideline and executed a give-and-go with Bruno Rendon, cutting a centering pass back sharply to Blake, who delivered a one-touch finish into the right corner.
Indy Eleven took an early 1-0 lead in the 14th minute. Midfielder James Murphy initiated the scoring sequence with a beautiful curling free kick into the area that defender James Musa headed, but it was stopped with a diving save. Musa’s rebound attempt was partially blocked into the right post. While he was still on the ground, Musa got a piece of the ball, and it deflected toward the center of the goal where defender Ben Ofeimu finished it with a quick left foot. It was the first goal of the season for Ofeimu and the second in his Boys in Blue career, with the first coming vs. Hartford Athletic last season.

The 23-year-old Schaefer has been a two-year starter for FC Cincinnati 2 since turning professional after a four-year collegiate career at South Florida.
In 2025, the 6’3, 190-pound Schaefer has started 20 of 21 matches, recording career bests of three goals and two assists. The Atlantic Beach, Florida, native has 14 shots, four shots on target, five key passes, 17 fouls won, and 49 clearances.
In his first pro season in 2024, Schaefer helped FCC 2 to the MLS NEXT Pro Eastern Conference regular-season title, starting all 27 games and recording two goals, 21 shots, eight shots on target, six key passes, 18 fouls won, and 91 clearances.

Williams Scores 65th Career USLC Goal
Indianapolis – Indy Eleven jumped out to an early lead, but USL Championship Eastern Conference leader Louisville City FC responded to earn a 3-1 victory in front of 10,230 fans at Carroll Stadium.
Just 1:25 into the match, the Boys in Blue took the early lead. Defender James Musa started the scoring sequence with a long ball to the edge of the area to forward Romario Williams. Williams flicked it to midfielder Jack Blake, who spun and passed it back to captain Aodhan Quinn. Quinn centered it to Williams, who touched it down and around a defender and then finished for his fifth goal this season.
It is the 65th career USLC goal for Williams, moving him into sole possession of 14th place on the league all-time list. For Quinn, it is his team-leading seventh assist this season and the 57th of his USLC career. He is third all-time, trailing former Indy Eleven player Solomon Asante (2022-23) by one for second place.
Indy Eleven had an opportunity to add to its lead in the 12th minute when Williams won a ball in the midfield and played it to forward Maalique Foster on the right side. He took it deep and delivered a cross that was cleared by defender Josh Jones.
In the 24th, Quinn played a cross from the left side that Williams headed down, but goalkeeper Danny Faundez made a right arm save.
A minute later in the 25th, midfielder Cam Lindley played a long ball into space down the right side to Foster. Foster took a touch to just outside the six and fired just wide.
Foster dribbled inside the area right side to set up Williams in the 33rd for another scoring opportunity, but he couldn’t get his volley on frame.
After Louisville took a 3-1 lead, the Boys in Blue had a good chance to cut the deficit in the 82nd minute when Blake stole the ball and fed Quinn, who played a cross to midfielder Bruno Rendon, but his left-footed shot missed high.
In the third minute of second-half stoppage time, Blake made a nice move at the edge of the area to free up space for a left-footed shot that Faundez punched over the bar.
Indy Eleven forward Edward Kizza made his 100th career USL Championship appearance in the match.
